Application Instructions
-
Substrate and Surface Preparation:
- New Steel: Clean grease and contaminants with appropriate cleaning agents, rinse with freshwater to remove salts and debris. Blast clean to Sa2.5 grade (ISO 8501-1) with surface roughness Rz30μm~75μm for optimal results. Apply primer within 4 hours after blasting.
- Pre-coated Shop Primer Surface: Weld seams and damage areas must be cleaned to Sa2.5 grade or St3 grade. Remove zinc salts or white rust on exposed zinc-rich primers with freshwater and a stiff brush. For large damaged areas, re-blast is recommended.
- Maintenance: Clean grease thoroughly, wash with high-pressure water to remove salts and debris. Use blasting or power tools to clean rust or loose material and touch up bare areas with this product.
-
Application and Curing Conditions:
- Temperature: 5~38°C; Relative humidity ≤85%; Surface temperature must exceed dew point by 3°C.
- Avoid application during rain, fog, snow, or high winds. Ensure proper ventilation in confined areas.
-
Mixing and Thinning:
- Use an electric mixer to mix base paint thoroughly, then add curing agent in the prescribed ratio. Add compatible thinner to achieve desired viscosity.
- Mixing Ratio (by weight): A (Base): B (Curing Agent) = 32:3
- Pot Life:
