JH-24001 Catalyst-coated proton membrane

JH-24001 Catalyst-coated proton membrane

The traditional coating method involves covering both sides of the proton exchange membrane (PEM) with a layer of platinum to form a catalyst-coated proton membrane (CCM). When the CCM is installed in the frame, a significant portion of the expensive catalyst layer is covered and becomes ineffective since it cannot interact with the reaction area (active region). By selectively coating the PEM, we can reduce the waste of catalyst material, preserving this valuable resource only on the required parts. Through this process, we can achieve up to a 30% cost reduction. Our proprietary slurry preparation and coating technology, combined with our single-sheet inspection capabilities, ensure coating consistency and minimal cracking during polymerization.

  • CCM Production Specifications

Capacity > 300,000 m² per year
Production line speed > 3.0 meters per second
    Maximum coating size 400×280 mm
Cathode and anode edge overlap tolerance < 0.5 mm
