Tempered glass is a type of high-strength safety glass that is created by heating the glass to its softening point and then rapidly cooling it with air. At the same thickness, tempered glass has 4-5 times the bending strength and 5 times the impact strength of ordinary glass.
The most significant feature of tempered glass is its safety. When broken, it shatters into small, honeycomb-like particles, which reduces the risk of injury to humans.
