NH-34002 Autoclaved Lightweight Sand Aerated Concrete

Product Definition

Autoclaved Lightweight Sand Aerated Concrete is a porous silicate product made from cement, lime, sand, and gypsum with added aerating agents (aluminum powder or paste). Through chemical reactions, the mixture forms pores, is cast, pre-cured, cut, and steam-cured at high temperature and pressure. ALC panels contain reinforced steel mesh treated for corrosion resistance.

Product Overview

Aerated concrete debuted in 1889. In the 1920s, Swede Eriksson patented aluminum powder as an aerating agent, enabling large-scale production. The first plant was built in Sweden in 1929. Post-WWII rebuilding in Europe spurred growth, and the 1970s energy crisis accelerated adoption. Now, used in over 50 countries, it's applied in walls, roofs, and floors for various structural types. In China, 21st-century wall reform policies have expanded its use.
