NZ-25005 Aerogel Thermal Insulation and Damping Gel for Engine Compartments
The Magical Material Changing the World
Aerogel is not a "gel" as traditionally conceived; it is a solid material with a nanoporous network structure. Invented by American Kistler S. in 1931, it is often referred to as "blue smoke" or "frozen smoke" due to its light, mist-like appearance and bluish hue. Aerogel holds 15 Guinness World Records for its unique properties.
Unmatched Insulation Properties of Aerogel
Among its numerous properties, aerogel's insulation capability is the most mature and widely applied. It is currently the best-known solid insulating material. Aerogel's special structure obstructs all paths of heat transfer, including conduction, convection, and radiation, achieving an unparalleled insulating effect that other materials cannot match.
NZ-25005 Aerogel Thermal Insulation and Damping Gel for Engine Compartments
Product Introduction:
NZ-25005 Aerogel Thermal Insulation and Damping Gel for engine compartments is a coating made from SiO₂ aerogel powder with a nanoporous structure combined with a high-temperature resistant adhesive system. It provides thermal insulation, noise reduction, strong adhesion, and can withstand temperatures up to 220℃.
Product Features:
- Thermal Insulation
- Soundproofing and Noise Reduction
- High Temperature Resistance up to 420℃
- Strong Adhesion
- Certain Elasticity (Shock Resistance)
Product Applications:
- Underbody of Railway Vehicles
- Interior and Exterior of Various Automobile Chassis
- Special Vehicles
- Other Vehicles
Construction Instructions:
- During coating construction, the substrate surface should be pre-treated to ensure it is free of oil, rust, and other particles.
- When spraying, each layer thickness should not exceed 1mm. After the layer is cured and dried, proceed with the second coating, and so on until the designed thickness is achieved.
- Store at room temperature away from light. Do not freeze or expose to sunlight. Seal the container after use to prevent drying and curing.
- If the paint is too thick or slightly cured during construction, add a small amount of water and stir to dilute. The amount of water should not exceed 10% of the paint weight.
- The surface drying time is 8 hours. Please allow sufficient drying time and protect the finished product.
- The paint is relatively thick, so do not dilute excessively to avoid affecting construction.
- If strong adhesion is required, a commercially available primer can be used before coating.
- If appearance is important, other water-based flexible materials can be applied on the surface of the coated material.
