WG-13004 Hydrocolloid Wound Dressing
Product Information:
Indications:
- Thin Type-I: Suitable for wounds with minimal exudate, small area superficial burns, post-surgical wounds, donor site wounds, phlebitis prevention and treatment, superficial trauma, stage I pressure ulcers, cosmetic surgery wounds, and prevention of acute abrasions.
- Bordered Type-I: Suitable for wounds with low to moderate exudate, small area superficial burns, phlebitis prevention and treatment, graft and donor sites, various superficial traumas, stage I-II pressure ulcers, facial device-related pressure ulcer prevention, cosmetic surgery wounds, acute abrasions, and difficult-to-dress areas like joints, fingers, toes, and ears.
Product Features:
- Self-Adhesive, Absorbent, and Breathable: Provides a sterile, low-oxygen, slightly acidic environment that accelerates granulation tissue growth, promotes wound healing, and shortens healing time.
- Adhesive Contact Layer: Can adhere directly and for a prolonged period to the skin surface, protecting wound nerve endings, reducing friction, and alleviating pain.
- Absorbent Particles in Contact Layer: Swell upon contact with wound exudate to form a soft gel that adheres to the wound surface. The gel layer locks in moisture while the breathable protective layer creates an ideal moist environment for wound healing, preventing scab formation and protecting sensitive wound areas.
- Reduced Adhesion After Absorption: The dressing's adhesion to the wound decreases after absorbing exudate, allowing for painless removal and reducing the risk of secondary injury to the wound.
